The Rockettes

Mark, Stephanie, Katy and Kristin attended the Radio City Music Hall Rockette's Christmas Spectacular on Saturday, December 17th. What an incredible show!

The person most interested in the performance was Kristin. She spent most of the first portion on the edge of her seat or standing, trying to sing along and dance. She kept whispering all sorts of kudos to Stephanie. After intermission, however, the show wasn't quite as exciting to her, but she held on like a trooper.

Stephanie's favorite part of the performance was when the Rockettes came out dressed as toy soldiers. The precision in which they moved was impeccable! The final movement brought a huge applause as the soldiers lined up and very, very slowly fell backward (like dominoes) into each others arms. The legs remained perfectly straight through the entire drop. Incredible discipline and athleticism!

Sad days

My secretary, who seemed in fine health just 5 weeks ago, died on Friday at age 45. The obituary is here.

Another new puppy

I AM CUTTING AND PASTING THIS POST FROM MELINDA'S POST ON HER FAMILY'S BLOG (TODD)

Welcome to Ella's new puppy, Scarlett. Scarlett will be joining our family tomorrow, December 1. Scarlett was born on August 7, the day before Ella's birthday. Scarlett is significantly potty-trained (bonus!). Her kennel is in Ella's room so she will be Ella's companion at night and she will spend her days with Ramius and Fenton. Ella is very excited about her new little charge.

Ramius remains in stable condition. He's eating with modest interest. Last night Todd took Ramius for a late night walk through the neighborhood off leash and Ramius had a bounce in his step the entire way!
